new etched copper sheet

hi girls!!
this morning.. an other etched piece.. but this time.. a big one.. after i will cut little pieces..


magical again!!



and these 2 little charms.. they will be buterflies body i think... who knows??
I noted the tutorial (which I slightly modified) on an old magazine "step by step wire"

That is oh so pretty! I love the etching...I took a class on etching at the Bead & Button show this June, but the chemicals make me nervous. What did you use?

I never know what I'll find when I visit your beautiful blog....but it's always something wonderfully different. Your etched metal turned out so pretty, as well as the wire links. You could surely be an instructor if you wanted to...and would have many students like me! :-)

sharon, I use the percholur of iron to etch the copper, I find in computer's shops(to print circuits) or by correspondence, with the burning material to the "heavy water" in french, "eaux fortes", a very old way of etch !

Oh my G... Just amazing result. The stamps you used are just the right ones. Love, love them, really. You made a great job sweety.

Chemical doesn't make me nervous, what makes me nervous is the fact that i can't find the etchant product more easily!!!

The future buterflies will be beautiful with the Deryn Mentock's method for wings. Have you seen it ?
Beautiful antiqued copper too.

yes i've seen!! mais j'ais envie de remplir du fil de fer avec de la résine, pour alleger.. puis peut etre je laisserais comme ça d'ailleurs lol!! merci copine!! bisous
