La Monnaie du Pape , is one of my favorite plants.. my mother have a lot on our garden when i was a child.. it was so beautiful , like a "mother of pearl" garden..

when i saw these iridescent ovals mother  of pearl..yummmmmmmmmmm!! QUICK a necklace!!
the focal is a vintage shoes buckle with a gray stone  (too strange !!!), embellished with Swarovski pearls and  mother of pearls ..

my model is my little sister (29!!), she don't want me to show her little pretty face so..little processing
.

Wooow, too beautiful ! Trop beau ce collier. Love this new type of beads, in fact, they reminds me the lovely monnaie du Pape, i love so much too (there were too in my grandmother's house, with roseaux). And the old buckle is simply gorgeous. The earrings are so precious, the combo of pink mother of pearl and rhinestones is "du meilleur effet". So chiiic ! So french !

Esther, I'm not familiar with this plant..so I'm so glad you shared a picture with us. It really is unusual and really is quite pretty. And your new necklace is beautiful...what a cool digital picture of your little sister. Beauty sure runs in the family. :-)

Love your necklace!! And the earrings are tres chic!!! Your lil sis really must be quite as beautiful as you are.
And the plant is one of my favorites too! I don't have too many this year. But I love the seedpods when they are still green too!

Ahhhh Esthernita,

Once again you have taken my breath away with your beautiful ccreations!!!

In different parts of the US the common name for this plant is a Money Plant. I think because when the blossoms mature they appear to be silver coins hanging on the branches :)
